IHSAA football pairings show this Sunday

Friday September 30, 2016

IHSAA news release

First round sectional match-ups in the 44th Annual IHSAA Football State Tournament presented by the Indianapolis Colts will be announced Sunday, Oct. 2, via television, radio and webstream.

This year’s drawing is being conducted one week earlier than normal due to the Colts playing a home game on the previously scheduled date (Oct. 9).

The 90-minute television show will be carried exclusively on Fox Sports Indiana (FSI), the home of IHSAA championships, beginning at 7 p.m. central. Originating from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, the show will be hosted by legendary broadcaster Jerry Baker, Kyle Neddenriep of the Indianapolis Star and Jeremiah Johnson of Fox Sports Indiana.

For viewers outside of the Fox Sports Indiana coverage area, a live stream will be available at IHSAAtv.com. For those within the FSI coverage area, the stream will be available only on delayed basis later that evening.

From 7-9 p.m. central time, radio listeners may join Indiana Sports Talk’s Bob Lovell and Paul Condry of Regional Radio Sports Network and Greg Rakestraw of 1070 The Fan for their pairings show on any of the affiliates of the IHSAA Champions Radio Network. Originating from Emmis Communications on Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis, Lovell, Condry and Rakestraw will go in-depth on some of the top sectionals in all six classes and collect reaction from coaches across the state.
