Northern Indiana Playoff Games

After the 1962 season, several schools from the Northern Indiana Athletic Conference left to form the Northwestern Conference. From 1963 to 1965, those two conference champions played each other after the regular season. In 1966, the NWC began to have their own conference championship game, and the series was ended.

In 1969, several schools had left the NWC and formed what became the Lake Shore Conference. The playoff was resumed until 1972, when the IHSAA began their playoffs.

In an interesting side note, the series continued inadvertently one more year in 1973 when the NIHSC and LSC champions met in the first round of the IHSAA Class 3A tournament.
