Team History

In 1986 Jasper High School fielded its first boys soccer team. With funding from the Jasper Athletic Department, the Wildcats were able to compete as a club team through the 1993 season. Coach Pete Massat was at the helm during the entire "Club" era of the program, and brought home Jasper's first soccer sectional title in 1992.

With the IHSAA sanctioning of soccer in 1994 and new coach Chris Platanos, Jasper turned in two winning seasons, saw its first top 25 ranking, and continued to grow. In 1999, under coach Bryan Kelly, Jasper recorded its most successful season yet, winning 15 games, the program's second sectional, and had five players named to the All Big 8 team.

Now back under the direction of original coach Pete Massat, the 'Cats continue to build on that success.
