Indpls. Lutheran (formerly independent) and Lapel (which left the White River Conference) both joined the Indiana Crossroads Conference. Eastern Hancock, Knightstown, Shenandoah and Wes-Del, the remaining members of the White River, disbanded the conference and became independent.

South Vermillion, formerly an independent, rejoined the Western Indiana Conference.

Monroe Central, despite not having any varsity games scheduled, was eligible to participate in the IHSAA postseason championship series. The Golden Bears, which had been playing junior varsity games for several years, entered the tournament. Monroe Central drew Tri in the first round and fell, 48-0, in their first ever varsity contest.
